Community Conversations

Nation Outside’s Community Conversations are monthly local chapter meetings that bring members, directly impacted individuals, families, and community partners together to build connection, share resources, and identify the issues most affecting our communities.

Each gathering offers a welcoming space to be heard, stay informed, access resources, and engage in meaningful conversation around the issues impacting our communities. Food and community resources will be provided. Through open dialogue, peer support, advocacy updates, and community problem-solving, Community Conversations help strengthen local leadership and ensure that the voices of system-impacted people continue to guide Nation Outside’s work across Michigan.

Wayne County

Every fourth Thursday each quarter (every 3 months) at Nation Outside Office, 7752 W. Vernor Hwy., Detroit, MI 48209 

Macomb County

Every third Wednesday each quarter (every 3 months) at Riverhill Church, 13700 Stephens Rd. Warren MI 48089

Kalamazoo County

Every first Thursday of the month at The River Church, 517 Walbridge St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007

Ingham County

Every third Monday of the month at Reo Elementary School 1221 Reo Rd. Lansing, MI 48910

Oakland County

Every third Thursday each quarter (every 3 months) at First Presbyterian Church, 99 Wayne St, Pontiac, MI 48342

Genesee County

On the last Thursday of every month at the Flint Library, 1st Floor "Mott Room" 1026 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, MI 48503
